Lauralee Harris is a fifth generation Texan, Mayflower descendant and descendant of several Revolutionary War soldiers. As a child of a career US Air Force officer she had the exciting experience of living numerous places, and never seemed to loose the wanderlust. She has lived in six states and two foreign countries, and has visited ten countries on three continents. After a career devoted to executive positions in nonprofit human service organizations in Texas she moved to Texas Hill Country to be near her son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Angelo State University and a Doctor of Public Health from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She is combining her skills in grantwriting and research with her genealogy research and travel experiences to craft books of historical fiction featuring current characters and an element of mystery.
