My name is Cathy Clay, and I am a Houston, Texas native. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Houston (1997) and a master’s in English from Texas Southern University (2008). My scholarly reviews have been published in the Facts on File: Companion to the World Novel published by Columbia University Press (2007) and my short stories have been featured in literary journals. My debut novel, Agatta, was published in 2010. Currently my short stories, Cecil and The Earrings, appear in Eclectically Criminal and Eclectically Cosmic respectively, both Inklings Publications. My poem, Hiss, was published by Rat’s Ass Review (2017) in their Such an Ugly Time collection.
